Job Function:
Performs a variety of customer service, in store, marketing, promoting, advertising and stocking duties related to the sale and delivery of parts and accessories to customers that contribute to the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the dealerships parts department. Ongoing responsibility for assisting with the counter parts sales and customer service responsibilities.
Primary Duties:
• Wait on customers needing repair parts for all supported brands either in store person to person, over the telephone, or via email.
• Complete the sale from start to finish in a timely manner. Follow thru with information inquiries, returns, and call to inform customers to any major changes in their orders or order statuses.
• Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledge all customers he/she comes in contact with.
• Follow cash, credit, check, and charge processing procedures when making sales
• Processes cores, warranties, and new return merchandise in a timely manner and as required by dealership return procedure.
• Controls/stock showroom inventory to ensure maximum sales and customer satisfaction
• Assist in keeping entire parts department areas clean and organized. Each individual is responsible for the cleanliness and organization of their counter / work space.
• Perform routine housekeeping tasks in the showroom as well as parts storage areas as needed to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow up and maintain any open invoices or quotes you create
• Key lost sales when they occur as well as suggest any parts to possibly be considered for future demands.
• Communicate with parts manager to prevent or resolve any current or future parts related issues or problems
• Communicate with Shipping and Receiving clerk when any special shipments, returns or orders have been created, or when parts have been taken, sold or reserved pre-receipt.
• Communicate with Warranty clerk the required information for warranty parts in timely manor
• Attend training/schools/seminars (in person or web based) as directed by the management to ensure compliance with manufacturers requirements.
• Perform other duties and functions as so directed by management in line with the dealership objectives.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
